Street Outreach

Street outreach takes into account the harsh elements in different seasons and fills the gap of limited shelter beds by taking survival supplies to at risk individuals who are sleeping on the street. Street Outreach volunteers sign up for the needed nights, and meet at TCG Community Outreach Center where they utilize TCG vehicles and go out in teams.

Outreach changes from season to season.
During the winter, teams go out every night that the temperature is
40 degrees or below, or 45 and raining or below. Two teams go out out each night (with 2 individuals on each team) to me ensure that anyone without shelter has survival gear for the night or to help individuals access cold weather shelters.
